JoAnne Artman Gallery is thrilled to announce Robert Mars first Solo Exhibition: Mars Attacks!

The remarkable work of mixed media artist Robert Mars explores Americans’ fixation with the iconic. By using symbols from mass media culture –whether the flag, classic film stars, or logos of popular brands – Mars both critiques our culture’s fascination with celebrity and consumerism, while indulging his own nostalgia for America’s golden age of advertising. Deeply influenced by Pop Art, Mars appropriates vintage ephemera into striking new forms that invite the viewer to question their own relationship to these symbols.

Mars graduated from the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York before embarking on his professional career. He has been featured in exhibitions and art fairs internationally, and his work is held by several museum collections.

Robert Mars’ work will inspire, provoke, engage and mesmerize.
