Monday Wave Check

The small wave gear will do the job!

Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report.  Well, there's not a whole lot happening along this stretch of sand, but you can find a few fun ones with the small wave gear.

We're seeing some nice and clean conditions early on, with a mixture of fading energy out there. There's some decent south-southwest swell and some minor west-northwest and northwest energy.

That recipe is offering this neck of the woods with some kind of crumbly sectiony lines, with a few fast corners.  Most Laguna Beach spots are running about knee- to waist-high, with the top combo breaks pulling a few plus sets.

At 10:59 this morning the tide drops to a 0.3 low, which will have some spots lacking water late morning.  The tide then climbs back up to a 3.4 high at 6:18 this evening.

If you're planning on paddling ... throw on at least a 3/2 fullsuit with the water temperature averaging between 57 and 59 degrees.  See ya in the water!!
