Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report. Well, you might have to do a little driving to find a wave worthwhile. This stretch of coast is fairly small, but if you head north or south a bit, you can find some pretty playful-size surf.
The conditions are fairly clean, with a combination of mostly west-northwest energy and some minor remnant west-southwest wind swell in the water.
That recipe is making for some sectiony lines with a few decent ones. Most spots in Laguna Beach are running about knee- to waist-high, with the focal points pulling a few bigger sets.

At 8:20 a.m. the tide drops to a 1.9 low and then pushes back up to a 3.8 high at 1:44 p.m. If you're going to get wet, throw on at least a 3/2 full suit and maybe some booties, with the water temperature hanging between 57 and 58 degrees. See ya in the water!
FYI: The county Health Department always urges surfers and swimmers to stay out of the water after it rains for 72 hours due to increased bacteria levels.
