Patriot's Day Parade: Rain or Shine

On Saturday's Patriot's Day Parade, Waves of Freedom, save yourself the aggravation and ride the trolley! This event is rain or shine!

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Laguna Beach's residents will march in the 52nd annual Patriot's Day Parade on Saturday, March 3, and will happen, rain or shine, according to the City of Laguna Beach in a recent announcement.

"We plan to hold the 2018 Patriot's Day Parade even if it is lightly raining or the ground is wet. We will cancel it only if we have a safety concern," a city spokesperson said.

The forecast calls for light rain, so get out those flags and head to Forest Avenue! don't want to drive? it's a great idea to park and ride to see the festivities.

"Parking and driving near the parade route and downtown will be difficult. We recommend taking our neighborhood trolleys," the city said.

If you do drive, expect road closures near and along the parade route. Those closures will begin downtown at 10 a.m. To help with traffic the City’s Weekend Coastal Trolley Service will begin at 9 a.m. The Farmers' Market will be closed that day, and will return on Saturday, March 10.

The rain or shine parade starts at 11 a.m. and floats will gather at the Laguna Beach Unified School District parking lot on Park Avenue.
