Power Outage Affects More Than 2,000 In Laguna Beach, Monday
A tenth of Laguna Beach's population woke to no power, Monday.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A tenth of Laguna Beach residents probably didn't hear their alarm clocks go off, Monday morning as thousands awoke to no power, officials say.
A blown "fuse-like-part" caused the short-lived power outage event that affected 2,223 Laguna Beach residents in the area of Alta Laguna Boulevard and Temple Hills Drive, according to authorities.
The outage kept thousands in the dark for a few hours during the morning, according to a report from Laguna Beach Fire.

SoCal Edison was on the case, and had power for most residents restored by 8:30 a.m., according to their outage watch page.

The last two remaining customers brought online before 6 p.m., the LA Times reported.
