Riddle Field Playground In Laguna Beach To Close This Month
The park will be closed from Aug. 15 through Sept. 23 as a part of the city's Riddle Field Playground improvement project.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA β Riddle Field playground in Laguna Beach, as well as the field spectator bleachers near the playground, will be closed from Aug. 15 to Sept. 23 as a part of the city's Riddle Field playground improvement project, the city said in a statement this week.
According to the city, the playground equipment is due for replacement due to age and deterioration. The proposed improvements include replacing the play equipments and installing a rubberized surface, as well as transitioning the playground from sand to wood chips.
The new play area will also feature shade canopies, various slides and climbing features, interactive play panels, word searches and puzzles, and swings that are ADA accessible and allow for a parent or guardian to swing with their toddler.
