Sawdust Art Festival Behind The Scenes: The 'Dust' Has Arrived

Laguna Beach's well-loved art show is gearing up for its June 24 opening, and one resident photographer has the pictures to prove it.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The Sawdust Art Festival in Laguna Beach is roughly a week away, and residents will be happy to know that the "dust" has arrived to the festival grounds.

Laguna Beach resident photographer Susana Cruciana is a longtime Sawdust-goer, and these photographs of the evolving festival grounds to share with Patch.

According to Sawdust's website, the art festival was given its name in the late '60s, when artists spread sawdust on the ground to combat the dust and mud.
