Enhance Your Memory At Special Susi Q Event
An educational specialist at Alzheimer's Orange County will be at the Susi Q on Monday, April 24.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA β Laguna Beach residents looking to sharpen their mind and enhance their memory are invited to a very special event at the Laguna Beach Community and Susi Q Center on Monday, April 24.
Programs and Educational Specialist at Alzheimer's Orange County Ben Allen will lead "Sharpen Your Mind: Memory Tips and Teasers" at the center or online at no cost to participants.
"We're delighted to welcome Ben back to the Susi Q," Jo An Ekblad, program and marketing director at Laguna Beach Seniors, told Patch. "His virtual sessions were enormously popular during the pandemic. Participants leave with renewed confidence in their memories and conversational skills."

Allen's session teaches that keeping active the most important way to keep our minds in good shape as we age.
"When we are active physically, mentally and socially, we lower our risk of cognitive decline," Allen said in a release. "That means we need to get out and move; get regular moderate-to-vigorous exercise. Also, challenge your mind, read, do puzzles or learn a new language."

Allen has over 12 years of experience being a community educator and speaking to groups throughout Orange County on Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
Residents can register for the event online on the Susi Q's website by clicking "Classes & Registration."
