LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A storm approaching from the northwest is expected to bring a quarter to half-inch of rain to Laguna Beach on Monday morning.
A high surf advisory will also go into effect at Orange County beaches from 11 a.m. Monday to 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Laguna Beach residents should expect to see raindrops after 11 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Northern California's atmospheric river storm is set to move through the Southland, but forecasters assured it will have calmed down quite a bit.
"The elephant in the room is the strong atmospheric river currently
moving through northern California," NWS forecasters said on Sunday. "Once it moves into SoCal Monday, it will have weakened."

A cold front moving down the coast on Sunday night was expected to bring rain to the region on Monday, with the main front of the storm system — and the heaviest rain — to Los Angeles and Orange counties in the afternoon.
The forecast also calls for the possibility of minor flooding and gusty winds.
Thunderstorms are not expected during the storm, which is expected to move to the east by late Monday night. Strong gusty winds will occur in the mountains and deserts, forecasters said.
In Laguna Beach, the high will be around 63 degrees and gusts could reach as high as 30 mph. Another chance for rain could occur before 11 p.m., and temperatures are expected to reach a low of around 51 degrees.
Tuesday will be sunny in Laguna Beach, with a high of 64 degrees.
