Thursday Surf Report: Better Days Ahead

Don't make it a priority to paddle!

Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report.  Well, I wouldn't make it a priority to paddle!  Yep, the surf is contiuing to fade away and it looks like one of those days where the conditions could get worse sooner than later.

Some spots are already seeing some texture on the surface.  As far as the waves go ... we have a small mix of northwest energy and some weaker south-southwest swell in the water.

That recipe is giving this stretch of sand some soft sectiony lines, with maybe a few that'll get you going on a log or an SUP.  Most Laguna Beach spots are running about knee high, with the top combo breaks pulling thigh high waves, with a few waist high plus sets.

Taking a look at the tides: At 5:51 this morning the tide climbed up to a 3.3 high. It drops to a 1.3 low at 11:38 this morning and then pushes up once again to a 4.7 high at 6:23 this evening.

If you're planning on paddling, then throw on no more than a thin fullsuit with the water temperature averaging between 62 and 64 degrees.  Good luck out there!
