LAGUNA BEACH, CA —On Sunday, multiple agencies worked to save a man trapped on the rocks during hazardous ocean conditions. Official reports came in at 3:30 p.m. that a man, suspected to be under the influence, could not swim in from a rocky outcropping of Crescent Beach.
He refused to leave the rocks in the middle of the water, according to reports from Marine Safety and the Fire Department.
"He appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was unwilling to leave under any circumstances," Capt. Kai Bond of the Laguna Beach Marine Safety Division reported.
