Tuesday Surf Report

Not much wave activity!

Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report.  Well, unfortunately this latest spring storm isn't bringing us much in the way of waves.  Yep, we're seeing mostly pretty small energy along this stretch of sand and it looks like those conditions could take a turn for the worse sooner than later!

We're seeing some texture on it from the start.  As far as the waves go ... there's mostly minor northwest windswell and just a smidgen of south-southwest energy in the water.

That recipe is providing this part of the coast with some weak crumbly lines, with not a lot to work with.  Most Laguna Beach spots are running about ankle to maybe knee high, with the top combo breaks pulling not much more than that.

Checking the tides ... at 10:21 later this morning it climbs up to a 4.1 high, which will have some spots a bit full and soft mid-morning.  The tide then drops to a 1.6 low at 3:22 this afternoon.

If you must get wet, throw on a 3/2 fullsuit, with the water temperature averaging between 60 and 62 degrees.  Good luck out there.

FYI ... county health officials urge surfers and swimmers to stay out of the ocean for at least 72 hours after a rain due to the likelihood of increased bacterial levels, especially near river mouths, storm drains and harbor entrances.
