Wednesday Wave Check: Desperate?

Not a good day for a surf session!

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report. Well, the lack of surf and crummy conditions definitely isn't making it very inviting out there this morning.

There's some texture or bump on the surface, with just a minimal amount of action.  We're seeing some very minor northwest wind and groundswell and hardly any south-southwest energy in the water.

That recipe is giving this stretch of sand some pretty gutless textured lines, with not much to work with.  Most Laguna Beach spots are running about knee-high, with the focal points pulling some thigh-high-plus waves.

Checking the tides ... at 5:50 this morning it climbed up to a 4.6 high, which will have some spots pretty full and slow early on.  The tide then drains out to a 0.0 low at 12:39 this afternoon.

If you're really desperate to get wet, throw on that 4/3 fullsuit and possibly the booties, with the water temp dropping and averaging between 55 and 57 degrees.  Good luck out there!
