Winter Storm Barrels Through Laguna Beach Wednesday, Thursday

Wednesday and Thursday will bring flood waters and heavy rain, officials alerted Laguna Beach residents. Here is how your city can help.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A winter storm will impact Laguna Beach Wednesday and Thursday, and was expected to bring heavy rain and potential localized flooding, the city reported.

"The most significant part of the storm will be Wednesday evening through Thursday afternoon," Emergency Operations Coordinator Jordan Villwock advised.

Downtown and Canyon residents and business owners were encouraged to put floodgates into place Wednesday night, while your business is closed, as an extra layer of precaution "to protect your property and inventory," Villwock said.
