Jackpot-Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In SoCal
The lucky owner of a Powerball ticket purchased in the Southland won the jackpot in Monday night's drawing.

DANA POINT, CA — One lucky SoCal resident won the $44 million Powerball jackpot Monday with a ticket purchased at a grocery store.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Ralphs supermarket at 32555 Golden Lantern in Dana Point, lottery officials said.
No further details about the owner of the winning ticket were immediately released.

According to lottery officials, the winner will have the choice between an annuitized prize of $44.3 million or a lump sum payment of $21.9 million. Both prize options are before taxes.
On Friday, a Mega Millions ticket worth more than $1M was sold at Pavilions Place supermarket in Newport Beach.

The ticket didn’t win the jackpot but matched five numbers for a value of $1,016,356.
Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 7:59 p.m.
