Over 120 Laguna Niguel Girl Scouts camped at O’Neill Park over the weekend. JR. Jam Camp Director was Lisa Dunning. Older Girl Scouts from 7th grade thru 12th grade served as camp staff teaching the 4th and 5th grade Girl Scouts camping skills in tent pitching, knots and lashing, maps and compass, fire building and knife safety. The weather gave them drizzles but did not dampen their spirits. Troops pitched their own tents, cooked meals and created their own table centerpiece to go along with the “Fantasy” theme. Older Girl Scout Staff offered help to younger Girl Scouts when needed, planned games and performed the flag ceremonies and a Scout’s Own.
