In Honor of Bryce Halbert

For 10 days now, I have been overcome with sadness, and a feeling of helplessness when it comes to my friend Tricia Halbert.

As is evident by the number of people who attended her husband's funeral Friday, much of Laguna Niguel is aware of the tragic passing of . But today, I received word of a fundraiser to benefit the children: 9-year-old twins, Will and Cole, 5-year-old Tess, and 3-year-old Brynn. And this lightened my heavy heart. A ha, I can help! I am known for knowing what's going on and am able to spread the word quickly.

So a little history...Bryce was my neighbor and friend for the past 9 years. A family of six, who is always on the move whether it be sports related, a school activity, or just an adventure.

Bryce was also a customer at my My employees remember him as always being pleasant and smiling. I can't think of a time when he didn't have something nice or funny to say ... the guy always had a cheerful attitude. Bryce was full of practical jokes, antics, and silliness. Sometimes, I would remind him that he wasn't 16 any more. He would just laugh.

While celebrating Tricia's birthday in Cabo with family and friends, Bryce became ill and underwent emergency surgery. A few days after the surgery, he developed a pulmonary embolism and pulmonary edema, which ultimately led him into cardiac arrest.

Needless to say, his family and friends are devastated by the loss of someone so young and so loved.

Please join us in helping support the Halbert family through their loss of Bryce, husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend and all-around wonderful guy. We will be honoring and celebrating Bryce's life while also providing some financial support to Tricia, Will, Cole, Tess, and Brynn, during this very difficult time.
