International Overdose Awareness Day
International Overdose Awareness Day is a Very Important Event Considering The Epidemic Here in Laguna Niguel, as Well as Across The Nation! Please Come and Educate Yourselves
On August 31, 2012 International Overdose Awareness Day will take place across the nation. This is a day to remember our loved ones gone, as well as spread awareness of the Epidemic that is happening right here in our city.
The number of accidental fatal overdoses are astounding! Let's not forget all the accidental overdoses that are happening every day!! The young adults may survive the first time, the second time, the fourth time, and so on, but at the end, they will die if they don't get help! It only took one time for my 19 year old son!
With this being said, I am holding a candlelight vigil / awareness event on August 31st. Pastor Randy Moraltis will lead a prayer. Silver ribbons will be handed out. We will show a clip from Overtaken and Behind The Orange Curtain. There will be guest speakers from Overtaken, as well as Professional Baseball Player, Joe Dickerson to tell his story of addiction. Copies of Overtaken and great information will also be available.
