Love The Ocean on World Oceans Day

World Oceans Day 2012 theme couldn't be more appropriate for the

Youth:  the Next Wave will be showcased on June 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Not only is the Ocean Institute about the ocean. It's all about youth, education
and science.

On Saturday, Ocean Institute's celebration of the ocean and its resources will bring together an array of activities, including a presentation by La Paz Intermediate School of Mission Viejo.

Move over Beyonce, Justin Bieber and FX specialists.  The Mission Viejo students'
production is filled with music, dance and special effects.

The students from La Paz Intermediate School will show their 45-minute production of H2Oh! 

The interactive show details the adventures of a water molecule as it
moves through the water cycle and the problems with polution encountered on the journey to the ocean.

Don't miss the 11 a.m. show of La Paz Intermediate.  It's bound to show that
Mission Vijeo's Got Talent and they are bringing their X Factor to the Ocean
Institute.

Of course, the Ocean Institute will offer other activities including:

--investigate sand and shells from around the world

--exploring the relationship of different sharks

--learn how much water there is on our planet and
our affect on it

--remotely operate an underwater vechicle at the Ocean Institute

--find out how deep sea creatures produce light

Officially, World Oceans Day is held each June 8 to "reach out to young people and help inspire them...the future of ocean conservation is in their hands.

The Ocean Institute is aligned with this philosophy on a daily basis.
