Meadowlark Lemon and Uranus in Aries
Meadowlark Lemon is turning 80. His Uranus in Aries gave him an unusual amount of energy and the ability to beat the odds. Now Uranus is back in Aries for the first time in 80 years.

Back in the 70s I sat spellbound as the Harlem Globetrotters made magic on the basketball court. There the “clown prince” Meadowlark Lemon dazzled us all with impossible feats of skill. It's Meadowlark's birthday this month (April 25, 1932), he's turning 80. He played more than 16,000 games and is still going strong, currently coaching football at Lewis & Clark College in Portland.
Meadowlark is a Taurus with his Moon in Capricorn opposing Pluto. When a person's moon is in aspect to Pluto there is an intensity in everything they do. Capricorn Moon's like to be the expert at something. And being a Taurus gave him the tenacity to keep at it. Those born under the sign of Taurus are learning the lessons of patience and persistence. Meadowlark averaged 325 games a year during his Globetrotters career, that's persistence.
Most importantly, his Moon and Pluto sit in a T-Square with Uranus and Mars. This combination gives him the drive and focus as he traveled more than 4 million miles for games and events. Mars and Uranus in Aries give a person an unusual amount of energy and the ability to beat the odds.

Here's the take away for all of us. Uranus is back in Aries for the first time in 80 years. And we can tap into the boundless energy that I saw back then as Meadowlark Lemon glided across the court floor. We can apply this energy to perfecting a skill, starting a new venture, or putting something new out into the world. When I look back (which we can do so easily now thanks to YouTube) I marvel at the skills he mastered. Now Uranus is here for all of us to give us the power to try something new or to inspire us to try something we've always wanted to do.
