New Moon: Time to Plant Some Seeds

In times past during a waxing moon you would plant crops that yield above ground. Now during this time you want to set intentions and start projects that are out in the world

Tuesday, June 19th is a New Moon, and begins the two week period of the waxing moon. It will be followed by the Full Moon and the period of the waning moon. The New Moon is a good time to set your intentions for the month. Just like planting during the waxing moon will yield more crops, if you “plant” some intentions now for the next four weeks you can yield bigger and better results.

In times past during a waxing moon you would plant crops that yield above ground. (You can also transplant and repot houseplants during this time and they will do very well.) So during this time you want to set intentions and start projects that are out in the world such as marketing campaigns, contacting new customers, launching new websites and opening new locations. In your personal life it's a good time to reach out to friends, go on blind dates and list yourself on dating websites.

On July 3rd there will be the Full Moon and the waning moon will follow. Our ancestors would have planted root crops, pruned and mulched. This is a time to step back and assess what the last two weeks have brought. You can tweak the copy in online marketing campaigns, adjust how often you're mailing materials, or contact existing customers to bring them back. In your personal life consider seeing someone for a second or third date, find old high school and college friends online or take a step back from dating and just enjoy being single for a couple of weeks.
