Multiple late night burglaries at area chain drug stores ended in the arrest of two, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department. On Monday, in the early morning hours, Orange County sheriff's deputies Monday arrested two men in Laguna Niguel suspected of burglarizing at least one Walgreens drug store in the county, authorities said.
Deputies were called at just after 1:15 a.m. to the Walgreens at Alicia and Crown Valley parkways, said sheriff's Lt. Jerry Carlsen.
The store happened to be near a sheriff's substation, so deputies arrived within two minutes and saw one suspect flee on foot, Carlsen said. Another suspect was arrested near the rear of the business.
