Car Fire Stalls Traffic On 5 Freeway Friday Morning: SigAlert
The car fire was reported at 9:40 a.m. on the Interstate 5 Freeway traveling southbound through Orange County, authorities say.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — A car fire was burning in south Orange County Friday, triggering slow traffic and prompting authorities to issue a SigAlert for the affected area.
The car fire was reported at 9:40 a.m. Friday morning on the Interstate 5 Freeway traveling south, just north of the Ortega (74) Highway in the City of San Juan Capistrano, according to the California Highway Patrol. The car in question was described as a gray van by authorities.
The SigAlert was active at 9:53 a.m. and is expected to last roughly an hour, as two lanes on the freeway are blocked, authorities said.
