City Sidewalks Get a Facelift
Sidewalks at La Paz and Aliso Creek roads get some TLC.
Even though we don't see any snow here in Laguna Niguel, city sidewalks often need to be repaired.
Last week, city crew members were out and about doing some sidewalk grinding at La Paz and Aliso Creek roads. According to Laguna Niguel City Manager Tim Casey, it's just that—routine sidewalk maintenance and grinding to eliminate a potential trip and fall hazard.
"In some areas, adjacent sidewalk panels can experiences some differential movement and this can result in a small 'lip' between the panels. In areas where there is likely to be a moderate amount of pedestrian traffic we like to grind these lips down so that the sidewalk joints have no bump or lip," Director of Public Works Dave Rogers.
