Dana Point Boy Dies In Tragic Skateboarding Accident
Police said the 9-year-old boy was killed while skateboard riding.

DANA POINT, CA — A 9-year-old Orange County boy was crushed to death by the family car while skateboarding Saturday night, Dana Point Police Services officials said. Siblings and friends were playing outside of their Dana Point residence, and the boy, who was holding onto the driver's side window of his family's vehicle, lost control and was struck by the full-sized van driven by his 21-year-old sister, Dana Point Police Services Sergeant Rich Himmel said in a release.
"He fell under the left rear wheel of the van and suffered severe injuries," Himmel said. "He was pronounced deceased at the trauma center at Mission Regional Medical Center."
The other boy, who was also holding onto the car at the time of the accident, was uninjured, according to reports.
