Dana Point Police Beat: Monday, Nov. 12

OCSD officers went to aid Malibu with emergency personnel battling the Woolsey Fire. Meanwhile, deputies at home handled 24-hours of calls.

DANA POINT, CA — Orange County Sheriff's Department deputies headed north to Malibu to assist emergency personnel during the Woolsey Fire, where over 91,000 acres and many structures have burned, and lives have been lost.

Meanwhile, back at home in Dana Point, here are some calls that remaining deputies answered on Sunday a1nd Monday:

Sunday:

1:30 p.m: Officers headed to the 33300 block of Pacific Coast Highway to see about unknown trouble.

4:30 p.m.: Dana Point Deputies investigated reports of a suspicious person at Cove Road and Street of the Golden Lantern.

6:30 p.m.: Officers intervened with a driver who was behaving in a reckless manner on the 34300 Block of Dana Strand Road.

9:45 p.m.: Deputies arrived at the scene of a vandalism in process at Dana Point Harbor Drive and Cove Road.

10:30 p.m.: Noise violations were reported on the 343o0 block of Dana Strand Road, when officers responded to music being played loudly in the area.

Monday:

1:45 a.m.: A missing adult was reported in the area of 32400 Crown Valley Parkway.

2:15 a.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Callita Drive and Via Elvado.

8:45 a.m.: Deputies responded to a disturbance in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Niguel Road.

11:15 a.m.: An audible burglary alarm was reported on the 24300 block of Dana Drive. Officers responded, but left shortly thereafter.

12 p.m.: Dana Point deputies made a drunk driving arrest on the 34200 block of Doheny Park Road.

1:30 p.m.: Officers discovered the vehicle they had pulled over on Doheny Park Road was reported as stolen.
