Dana Point Sheriff's Deputy Voted VFW Officer Of The Year

The VFW selected a Dana Point Sheriff's Deputy for the honor of Law Enforcement Officer of the Year for 2016.

DANA POINT, CA — The Veterans of Foreign Wars chapter nominated their Law Enforcement Officer of the Year.

"Deputy Sheriff Zachariah Scott, who was selected as the Veterans of Foreign Wars' National Law Enforcement Officer of the Year for 2016," Dana Point Police Services said.

Scott was selected from nominees from over 6,000 VFW chapters nationwide to receive this award.

"Zach's unwavering commitment to the safety and security of the citizens of Dana Point was officially recognized by the VFW at last night's City Council meeting," the Dana Point Police Services stated. "We couldn't be more proud of Deputy Scott, and are thankful to have him on our team."
