Eagle Scout Court of Honor Laguna Niguel Candidates
Five Laguna Niguel youth earn scouting's highest rank and are honored for their accomplishments.

Five local Boy Scouts from Troop 77 in Laguna Niguel received the rank of Eagle Scout on Sunday evening at a formal Eagle Scout Court of Honor.
Members of the including Mayor Pro-Tem Joe Brown were in attendance to present honors to all five residents. Brown presented all five scouts with official resolutions from the city of Laguna Niguel.

David Clegg (son of Kevin and Catherine Clegg), Jackson Hoopes (son of Ron and Erica Hoopes), Chandler Lindner (son of Bill and Tamra Lindner), Grant Marocchi (son of Chris and Sharla Marocchi), and Matthew Simmons (son of Troy and Carol Simmons) were presented their Eagle Scout medals and official certificates from the Boy Scouts of America.
Each Scout candidates are required to complete a significant service project to the community. Matthew Simmons constructed helmet racks and cubbies for the Laguna Niguel Little League fields at . Grant Marocchi remodeled the basketball coaching office at Chandler Lindner built a covered scorekeeper table at Chapparosa baseball field. Jackson Hoopes built helmet cubbies also at Chapparosa baseball field. David Clegg constructed self-standing towel racks and awnings at the Dana Hills High School pool.

All five Eagle Scouts are current or former students at Dana Hills High School.
Less than 5 percent of all boys who participate in Boys Scouts achieve the Eagle Scout Rank.
Troop 77 is chartered with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), Laguna Niguel Stake.
