Find A Beached Seal In Dana Point? Call The Professionals

What should you do when you find a beached marine mammal? Call the Pacific Marine Mammal Center, resources say.

DANA POINT, CA — If you spend much time on the beaches of southern California, chances are you will come across a seal or sea lion at some point.

With increased numbers, as well as changes to the ocean waters, many of the seals and sea lions reported are suffering from undernourishment. That's where the Pacific Marine Mammal Center comes into play.

The Seal Beach Lifeguard Association and Laguna Beach's Pacific Marine Mammal Center want to remind residents of what to do when you find a beached marine mammal this summer.
