Roof Collapses During Fire At Laguna Niguel Racquet Club

The Laguna Niguel Racquet Club was badly damaged after a fire broke out early Sunday morning.

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA —Orange County Fire Authority firefighters extinguished a two-alarm fire at the Laguna Niguel Racquet Club's fitness building early Sunday. The blaze caused a partial roof collapse at the two-story fitness structure located at 23500 Club House Drive, according to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Larry Kurtz.

It took firefighters from OCFA and the Laguna Beach Fire Department more than an hour to douse the flames, Kurtz said.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Arson investigators have much to sift through before they make a determination as to the cause.
