Before that he was an associate at Schell &amp; Delamer from 1976 to 1980. Moorhead, a Republican, earned a law degree from <a href="http://www.swlaw.edu/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Southwestern School of Law</a> and a bachelor's degree from Santa Clara University. At the end of January he will fill a vacancy left by <a href="http://www.occourts.org/media/pdf/profiles/toohey.pdf" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Orange County Superior Court Judge Richard Toohey</a>, who is retiring after 18 years on the bench.
