Gunman Robs South County Pharmacies for Drugs

A robber held up a pharmacy in San Clemente for a large haul of Oxycodone today. Police believe he robbed another South County pharmacy.

A robber held up a CVS pharmacy in San Clemente at gunpoint today and made off with a significant amount of a prescription painkiller.

The pharmacy at 638 Camino de Los Mares was held up at gunpoint about 7:15 a.m., according to Orange County sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Hallock. Investigators suspect it was the same robber who stole drugs from a pharmacy in Laguna Hills about a week and a half ago, Hallock said.

The robber got away with “a large quantity of Oxycodone” in the latest heist, Hallock said.
