'I Aced My Test!'

After the conclusion of the seemingly never-ending first semester, a few of the Aliso Niguel's High School's Associated Student Body decided that those students who maintained a 3.0 GPA or above deserved a reward for all of their hard work.

We decided on a hypnotist show during a tutorial period to be billed as an academic assembly, but a few of the ASB members wanted to go a step further. Brandon Moshenko, a junior and one of the audio commissioners, was inspired by a Saturday Night Live digital short, I Just Had Sex, to come up with an idea for a parody that perfectly fit the academic theme for the rally to be held Friday, Feb. 25, called "I Aced My Test."

Senior class President Trey Ross, ANHS mascot Mark McKinnon and I (ASB video commissioner) were all over the idea. We wrote the lyrics, then recorded the new song over an instrumental beat. With the song in place, I went to work planning the accompanying video. Drawing on inspiration from the cast and the original video, we were able to complete shooting the video within a week.

We hope that all of our hard work will entertain the students at the assembly. Here's a sneak peek before its official debut.
