A man died when his condo caught fire due to a spark from a cigarette.

A man was killed in a fire in his Laguna Niguel condo unit that apparently was sparked by his smoking, authorities said today.
The fire was reported about 10:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 25000 block of Via Terracina, Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Hurdle said.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, but the unit had been filled with smoke and the man, in his 50s, was found lying on the floor next to his recliner, said OCFA Capt. Steve Concialdi.
