Laguna Niguel Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash Identified

The man killed as his motorcycle rear ended an SUV in Laguna Niguel was released by the Orange County coroner today.

Matthew Greenberg, 39, of Laguna Niguel, died shortly after the crash, which was at 10:04 a.m. Saturday at Paseo De Colinas and Del Cerro, said Lt. Jeff Hallock of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Greenberg was going north on Paseo del Colinas when he crashed into the back of a Lexus SUV, Hallock said.

Paramedics rushed him to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, where he died from his injuries at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, according to the coroner’s office.

“It was unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved,” said Capt. Larry Kurtz of the Orange County Fire Authority.
