Laguna Niguel Teacher Dies Weeks After Being Struck By Car
Scott Clark, a teacher at Laguna Niguel Elementary School, who was training for an Ironman triathlon died two weeks after being struck.

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — A Laguna Niguel Elementary School teacher died Tuesday, his family announced over Caring Bridge.
Scott Clark, a popular elementary school teacher, was training for a triathlon when he was hit by a car that crashed in the crosswalk of Laguna Niguel on Alicia Parkway at Niguel Road on Jan. 25.
He was taken to Mission Hospital, where he suffered severe head trauma and multiple fractures throughout his body, according to the Caring bridge site.

Clark passed away due to complications from his injuries, Emily Clark stated on Caring Bridge, who expressed her gratitude fort the love, support and prayers of friends and neighbors.
He was a teacher within the Capistrano Unified School District, grade at Laguna Niguel Elementary School and a four-time Ironman triathlete. He had been training for his next race, Ironman Boulder.

"Scott was the best husband, father, brother, son, teacher and friend that anyone could ask for," she said. "He was the strongest man I ever new as well as the goofiest. We are glad to know that he is comfortable and in a better place now. He will be watching over us all."
