Laguna Niguel Two Car Crash Injures Pedestrian, Witnesses Sought: OCSD
A two-car collision ends with arrest of one, another in the hospital, Sheriff's say.

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — Two women collided vehicles and struck a pedestrian in what is called a major accident by Orange County Sheriff's Department. Witnesses to the crash are being sought to aid in the investigation.
One woman was arrested after the incident and the pedestrian was transported to Mission Hospital with major injuries, according to Orange County Sheriff's Department Lt. Mark Stichter.
Investigators with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Major Accident Reconstruction Team (MART) are seeking witnesses in a major traffic collision.

"The crash occurred on Jan. 25, 2017 around 6:30 p.m. on Niguel Road at Alicia Parkway in the city of Laguna Niguel," Stichter said.
Investigators believe two vehicles, a 2010 white BMW Mini Cooper and a 2014 white Mercedes, were travelling on Niguel Road approaching Alicia Parkway when a traffic collision occurred involving both vehicles and a pedestrian.

"The cause of the collision is being investigated," he said.
The driver of the white BMW is identified as female, 34 years old. The driver of the white Mercedes is identified as female, 33 years old.
The victim (pedestrian) is identified as male, 55 years old. The victim was transported to Mission Hospital with major injuries. There is no current update on the victim's condition as of Thursday.
Investigators are seeking witness information about the traffic collision including any information about the pedestrian and vehicles leading up to the incident.
"The female driver of the white BMW Mini Cooper was arrested and booked into the Orange County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon (vehicle) and felony driving under the influence," Stichter said.
She is being held on $300,000 bail and her first court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 27, 2017.
