Library Could Open in Late July—Maybe Earlier

Orange County Supervisor and local resident Patricia Bates says the library is progressing nicely and everyone is looking forward to its grand opening later this summer.

and , it looks like the new library is on track to open in late July or before.

According to Orange County Supervisor and local resident  "The contractor has begun the exterior decorative stacked stone and exterior color coating."

She said additional interior and exterior painting and construction items are on schedule to be completed during the month of June.

At that time library systems can begin the process of early operations testing and placement of the branch collections on the shelves. 

"The current estimated completion date is last week of July," Bates said. r, however, significant progress has been made with most  issues resolved.  If favorable conditions continue, it is possible that the completion date and opening will be earlier in July."

She added that, "everyone is anxiously awaiting the grand ppening celebration." 

Construction began last fall.
