MOMS Orange County Names David Lugo as New CEO
Laguna Niguel resident becomes permanent CEO of nonprofit MOMS Orange County

MOMS Orange County’s Board of Directors proudly announces the appointment of David Lugo as its permanent CEO. Lugo has been serving as the organization’s interim CEO since Pamela Pimentel, RN retired in February. MOMS Orange County is the county’s largest nonprofit dedicated solely to newborn and pregnancy health.
MOMS Orange County President Sadie Sacks, RN, MSN said, “We are thrilled to have Dave as our new CEO. He’s a proven leader dedicated to creating positive social change for MOMS Orange County’s life-changing services for the county’s women, children and families.”
Lugo joined MOMS Orange County in 2017 as Chief Operations Officer bringing an abundance of experience in all aspects of financial and general operations from his previous roles in nonprofit leadership across Southern California.

As interim CEO, Lugo developed a new vision for the organization’s development, operations and programing to ensure MOMS Orange County’s sustainability and long-term success.
A graduate of Whittier College with a B.A, in Business Administration, David was the COO of Newport Beach-based ExplorOcean prior to joining MOMS Orange County.
