The 32-year-old woman hit a light pole in Dana Point, authorities said.

DANA POINT, CA -- A 32-year-old woman ordered to park her car for closer scrutiny during an Orange County Sheriff's Department DUI checkpoint was seriously injured when she sped away and crashed into a pole, authorities said Saturday.
The crash happened at about 9:30 p.m. Friday at a checkpoint set up on Del Obispo and Village roads, said sheriff's Lt. John Roche.
Kylie Sperrier entered the checkpoint and was directed to park in an area designated for closer scrutiny, Roche said.
She sped forward on Del Obispo and deputies followed to where she crashed into a light pole about a quarter mile from the checkpoint, he said.
