Newport Beach Film Festival's Opening Night Celebration

You’re invited to celebrate Opening Night of the 16th Annual Newport Beach Film Festival on Thursday, April 23, 2015. Set in the beautiful seaside resort destination of Newport Beach, California, the Newport Beach Film Festival showcases the best of classic and contemporary filmmaking from around the world. The festival’s Opening Night is an evening fit for the stars, yet accessible to fans. Ticketed Opening Night festivities begin with the screening of The Water Diviner, the directorial debut of Academy Award-winning actor Russell Crowe. An epic adventure set four years after the devastating World War I battle of Gallipoli, The Water Diviner tells an extraordinary tale of love, faith and heroism. After the screening, filmgoers can attend the Opening Night Gala at Fashion Island, starting at 10pm, and sponsored by Esquire magazine. The gala will feature food and beverages from acclaimed Newport Beach restaurants and a live performance of Zarkana by Cirque du Soleil, a quintessential Cirque du Soleil spectacular featuring an international cast of 70 world-class acrobats, aerialists, jugglers, high wire and trapeze artists.

The Opening Night film screening of The Water Diviner will take place at Lido Live, 3459 Via Lido, Newport Beach, CA 92663, followed by The Opening Night Gala at Fashion Island at 401 Newport Center Dr. Newport Beach, CA 92660.
