• Laguna Niguel tied for 121st among California cities for July scam reports (southoctimes.com) — Laguna Niguel residents reported four scams to the Better Business Bureau in July, double the number from June and ranking the city in a large tie for 121st statewide. One report involved a $96.90 loss to an online purchase scam, and counterfeit product schemes were the most common type locally. The BBB urges residents to use its Scam Tracker tool to research and report suspicious activity.
