Police: Craigslist Masseuse Robs Laguna Niguel Client at Knifepoint

A Craigslist masseuse and her companion are in custody today for allegedly attacking and robbing a Laguna Niguel client Wednesday.

Ramiro Amezcua Calderon, 54, and Laine Marie Jackson, 29, are being held in custody on charges of robbery. The pair allegedly used a bowie knife to slash and rob a man just before 2 a.m. Wednesday at the 100 block of Vista Niguel.

“My understanding is a gentleman requested a massage from a person he located on Craigslist,” said Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Chris Hays. “A male and female subject arrived at the location and robbed the gentleman at knifepoint and took various property and belongings from the victim.”

After they left, the victim called 911, and deputies arrived in time to catch the duo.

“Deputies located the vehicle as it was leaving the area and arrested the two subjects,” said Hays.

The victim was treated at the scene by firefighters for minor slash wounds.
