Register Now to Lace up for Freedom
REGISTER NOW FOR THE 2ND ANNUAL LACING UP FOR FREEDOM WALK

Laguna Nigel, CA – Register now to walk for Durga Tree International’s second annual “Lacing Up For Freedom” Walk-a-Thon. This year, in addition to the New Jersey location, Durga will be hosting a west coast walk on Saturday, May 30th at the Laguna Niguel Regional Park located at 28241 La Paz Road in Laguna Niguel, CA.
The walk will take place at a wilderness park around a beautiful lake. It’s two laps around the lake to complete the 5k. After the walk, participants are invited to join in a catered meal with musical entertainment, sponsorship vendors and prizes.

The New Jersey walk will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Saddle River Wild Duck Pond in Ridgewood, NJ.
Registered walkers will receive access to a personal online profile page that they can use to promote and raise money for the event. Additionally, walkers will have access to fundraising tips, social media images and printable flyers to assist them in getting sponsors. Walkers will receive emailed newsletters with great tips on walking, eating healthy and motivational messages of support.

Event fees are $50 for adult walkers, $30 for youth/students and $20 for canines. All walkers will receive an event t-shirt, a water bottle, a wristband, a giveaway bag and other sponsor-donated goodies.
Last year’s event raised over $40,000 and this year’s walkathon is slated to be an even bigger event.
Durga Tree International is a Ramsey, NJ-based non-profit based co-created by Beth and Tim Tiger and Jess Hoertel, that has raised over $100,000 for smaller, grass roots charities devoted to ending modern day slavery around the world. Durga Tree International’s mission is to “take the homework out of becoming involved in this movement by qualifying hardworking, worthy organizations from around the world, becoming the fundraising vehicle they so desperately need.”
