Driver In Serious Condition After Vehicle Plummets Down Hill

LAGUNA BEACH, CA – A motorist in his mid-20s suffered serious injuries when his vehicle went 40 yards down a hillside Thursday in Laguna Beach.

The crash was reported about 1:15 a.m. at the end of Park Avenue, near Tahiti Avenue, said Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Concialdi.

“Not sure how he got out of the vehicle," Concialdi said. "Laguna Beach Fire Department Firefighter/Paramedic’s had to secure the vehicle and him."

The motorist was hoisted from the crash and directly into an OCFA helicopter, where he was flown to Mission Hospital in serious condition, he said.

Laguna Beach police could not be reached for details on the crash.
