SDG&E Keeping Businesses in City Running Smoothly

Electrical fuse boxes get a facelift near La Paz Road thanks to the utility company that services the area.

San Diego Gas & Electric Co. repair trucks were out and about in the city recently making sure area businesses were getting the power they needed.

Several power boxes located along La Paz Road that service such businesses as the and received new boxes. The original equipment dated to 1991 and was showing signs of fatigue. 

According to SDG&E spokeperson, Allison Zaragoza, "It looks like we proactively replaced some equipment in this fuse cabinet that had corroded most likely due the saltier air found in coastal areas. 

"We often proactively check equipment to ensure it is in good condition so SDG&E can continue to deliver reliable service to our customers." 

This job was completed without interrupting service to the surrounding area, Zaragoza added.
