South Orange County High School Graduates Invited To Special BBQ-Reunion: Save The Date
Dana Hills and San Clemente high school graduates were invited to a reunion to be held on Doheny State Beach.

DANA POINT, CA — Graduates of two South Orange County high schools were sought to be a part of a very special celebration on Doheny State Beach coming up this October.
In honor of Dana Hills High School's 50th year of operation, a handful of determined students are planning a two-day reunion honoring the school's 50th birthday and the graduating classes of 1974, 1975 and 1976.
The first day of the reunion takes place Oct. 12 in Mission Viejo in the city's Norman P. Murray Community & Senior Center, where Dana Hills High School graduates from the mentioned years will gather to enjoy live music, catered food, photo booths and displays of memorabilia.

"The reunion is combining our 50th, 49th, and 48th class reunion of these three class years, because these years all transferred from San Clemente High School to Dana Hills High School when it was built 50 years ago in 1973." Organizer Josh Vechionne told Patch. "We are hoping to reach as many people as as possible. Also, to reach family members of classmates who have passed away so we can have a fitting tribute to their legacy."
According to organizers Vechionne and Leigh McAdam Mountjoy, the second day of the reunion will take place Oct. 13 and be held at Doheny State Beach. The second day of the reunion is open not only to Dana Hills High School graduates, but all graduates from San Clemente High School and Dana Hills High School.

Graduates who attend the second day of the reunion will enjoy a barbecue picnic hosted by organizers.
"After 50 years, many of our lives have had twists and turns and, unfortunately, some classmates have departed," McAdam Mountjoy said. "Gathering together again after all these years reunites us to share our life experiences and reconnect with old friends."
Residents who are interested in learning more about the reunion were encouraged to reach out to organizers by email or through Facebook.
