SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.
But before we jump into Southern California's top stories, here’s a look at the weather. The region is cooling down after a scorching weekend. The LA coast can expect highs in the mid to upper 70s, while inland LA can expect temperatures in the upper 80s earlier in the week, and the lower 80s later in the week. The San Fernando and San Gabriel valleys can expect highs in the 90s earlier in the week and upper 80s later in the week. Orange County coastal areas can expect highs in the upper 70s and low 80s, while the San Diego Coast can expect highs in the 70s. The Inland Empire can expect highs in the 90s.
On Sunday, nine people were injured at the Splash House electronic music festival in Palm Springs after glass bottles were thrown into the crowd following a dispute, police said.
