DANA POINT, CA — An Orange County man has finally been paid the winnings from a $44 million lottery jackpot he won back in August, ABC7 reported.
Weeks ago, an Orange County man identified as Jerry reached out to ABC7 out of concern that the state was taking what he believed was an unusually long time to pay him the winnings from the Powerball ticket he purchased at a Ralphs store in Dana Point for the Aug. 19 drawing, according to the article.

Just two weeks ago, Jerry told ABC7 that he picked up his check that amounted to almost $17 million. The payout took a total of 12 weeks to process.
