The Winds of March

Spring was my favorite season while growing up in North Carolina. During early spring, dogwood trees and daffodils bloomed along the countryside. Some days were as warm as the approaching summer and others chilly and overcast.

Sudden rainstorms would bring up the lush smell of the earth, while the breeze would blow the laundry hanging on the clothesline around like tethered kites.  

A Renewal Period

It is true that the winds of March have always been about resurrection in some way. Both land and life are renewed. We humans  are attuned to some type of frenzy that pushes us into motion. There is a heady rush, perhaps activated by the tug of the spring equinox.  We are affected by cycles, and spring is our most powerful personal phase. The stagnant feel of winter ands its blocks are released. Spring is vital for the seeds germinating underground and within us.

These seeds require the abundant energy of this period to produce the bounty for the future, and so do we.  This season asks us to study, heal, rebound, discover and play.

Clear Out the Old

Now is an opportune time to make room for the abundance we want to generate in our lives by cleaning the closets and garages. We can give old clothing, books and the like to Goodwill and other local charities such as and the . When we clear, we open the door to the new. It is good to make a list of what we want to bring into our lives, such as relationships, better health, and new work. Daily focus on that list along with proper actions will bring results.  

Spring is time to restock and repair. One thing that is important to replenish here in Southern California is our earthquake kit. This month,  please make sure that it is stocked and prepared with needed medicine, extra cash and prescriptions, as well as a family plan of what to do in case of emergency.

Forgiveness and Gratitude

Our earth is sighing because it too is experiencing great change. Two other vital spring creation tools are the practices of forgiveness and gratitude. When we forgive someone who we feel has wronged us, we free up vital energy that we can use for healing and manifestation. Forgiveness releases old wounds in our bodies and opens our hearts. Find time to write out a forgiveness letter to someone who hurt you and burn it afterward. This is very healing.

Gratitude is a wonderful gift. It opens our hearts and minds to great resources. When we focus on the fact that there is a lot to be thankful for,  other opportunities and resources flow toward us. Gratitude helps us to be co-creators with our fellow man.

Please note that March 6 has an unusual vibrational charge. Essentially it has a 11:11 frequency, which is the universal number for change and transformation. Remember, however, that sudden change can seem disruptive and out of balance to us at first.
